Mary Anne Manigian

In March 2009 I moved from Tasmania, Australia to Waimate with my two horses.  It is a daunting task making an advance international booking for agistment to an unknown place with unknown people but an initial phone call to Pear Tree Farm dispelled any doubts. Anna’s friendly helpfulness combined with knowledgeable professionalism made it quite clear that the horses would be in good hands.
‘Sol’ and ‘Grace’ didn’t arrive by transporter from the Timaru docks until after 1am on a cold, rainy night and I was very grateful to Anna for being up to see them safely off the truck and settled for the night, especially since they had not travelled well from Melbourne and were both extremely tired and underweight. Much to my relief they were soon back to their old selves and in shiny good health again on Pear Tree Farm’s excellent grazing.
A lot of time, energy and forethought have gone into establishing Pear Tree Farm as can be seen by the well planned layout of the paddocks and laneways, substantial windbreaks, excellent fencing and water system which all contribute to a safe, pleasant and comfortable environment for horses to relax.
Anna and Michael have been unfailingly kind, accommodating and considerate to the needs and wants of both me and my horses which I deeply appreciate.  I have total confidence in their ability to provide excellent horse care in any situation based on their extensive experience in the international horse industry.
I would happily recommend Pear Tree Farm to any horse owner both for the excellent facilities at very reasonable rates and the high standard of professional horse care provided by Anna and Michael.
