PTF-Anna

Anna

Anna Miles was awarded the New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders Scholarship to attend the Irish National Stud's Thoroughbred Breeding and Management Course in 2001. At the completion of the course, Anna was awarded the Gold Medal for Top Student of that year. Anna has worked on major stud farms all over the world including Waikato Stud, Esker Lodge and Prebbleton Farm here in New Zealand; Derrinstown Stud, Oaklawn Stud and The National Stud in Ireland; Allevamenti Della Beredenga in Italy, Gestut Farhof in Germany and Maine Chance Farm in South Africa.

Farm Facilities

As Pear Tree Farm was bare land when it was purchased as a horse property, all facilities have been purpose built.

Fences are either post and rail or five wire No8 fences with electrics and outriggers.

The paddocks are all accessible via a central laneway system to ensure the safe movement of horses around the farm.

Facilities include:

  • An 18metre round yard with all weather surface
  • Loading bank
  • Easy access and turn around for transporters
  • Wooden yards at drop-off point
  • Three specifically fenced foaling paddocks
  • Colt paddocks
  • Stables
  • Lockable tack room
  • Tie up and wash bay
